Transparent Pricing

Your fee goes down as your wealth goes up.

Most advisors charge 1% of your portfolio — forever. We charge a declining flat fee based on net worth. The wealthier you get, the less you pay as a percentage. That's the point.

Your primary residence isn't included in the net worth calculation.

We don't believe you should pay an advisory fee on the equity in your home — that's not an asset we're managing, strategizing around, or adding value to.

The Formula

The more you build, the less you pay.

A declining percentage applied to tiers of your net worth. Simple math. Aligned incentives.

We publish our fees because we have nothing to hide.

Most firms serving high-net-worth clients hide their fees. You'll sit through multiple sales calls before anyone tells you what you're actually paying. And then you find out they're charging 1% of your assets annually — for portfolio management they've mostly automated.

Our pricing is flat, fair, and aligned with your success — not your account balance.

Important disclosure: This calculator is for illustrative purposes only. The 30-year projection assumes a hypothetical 7% annual portfolio growth rate with fees deducted annually from the portfolio balance. Actual investment returns will vary and may be higher or lower than the assumed rate. Past performance is not indicative of future results. The WIY flat fee is based on net worth at engagement and is reviewed annually. AUM fees shown assume a 1% annual fee on portfolio value — actual AUM fees vary by advisor and may be higher or lower. This is not investment advice, a guarantee of future performance, or a solicitation to purchase any security. Consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions.

Pricing Questions

What's included in the flat fee?
Everything. Life planning, tax strategy, investment management, insurance review, estate coordination, business planning, and real estate investor planning. One fee. No add-ons. No surprise invoices. If it touches your financial life, it's covered.
How is net worth calculated?
We calculate net worth by totaling your assets (investments, business equity, real estate holdings, cash) minus your liabilities. Your primary residence is excluded from the calculation. We reassess your net worth on your anniversary date each year — the date we began working together.
Do you charge for the intro call?
No. Your initial 15-minute intro call is free, and if we’re a mutual fit, we’ll schedule a 45-minute Strategy & Vision meeting that’s also at no cost. You get a full hour with us to decide whether this is the right partnership — no pressure, no hidden fees, no strings.
How does this compare to a typical AUM advisor?
Most AUM advisors charge 1% of assets under management. At $3M, that's $30,000 per year. Our fee at $3M is $17,000 per year — $13,000 less annually. At $5M, the gap is $29,000 per year in the first year alone, and it widens as a 1% AUM fee compounds on a growing portfolio while our flat fee stays the same. We built an entire page that walks through the math — see our full AUM comparison.
Is there a minimum net worth requirement?
Our minimum annual fee is $10,000, which typically makes sense for clients with a net worth of $1M or higher (excluding primary residence). We can work with clients starting at $500K in net worth, but at that level you'd pay the $10,000 annual flat fee. Below $500K, a flat-fee model likely isn't the most cost-effective option for you, and we'd rather be honest about that upfront.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. No lock-in contracts. No cancellation fees. No guilt trips. We earn your business every month. If we stop adding value, you should leave.
Why not just charge a flat dollar amount?
Because a $500/month fee means something very different to someone with $500K versus $10M. Our tiered model scales with complexity — higher net worth typically means more accounts, entities, and tax considerations. The declining rate ensures you're never overpaying.
Do fees change if my net worth decreases?
We reassess your fee on your anniversary date each year based on your current net worth. If your net worth has grown, your fee may increase. If it has decreased — which happens with clients who retire and travel the world, contribute heavily to philanthropy, or simply enter a different life phase — your fee decreases accordingly. Our commitment is to charge fairly based on your current situation, not to lock in a fee that stops making sense for you.
